More About Ellen
“Throughout my life, I’ve always been pushing to move forward, and now, there has been a shift. I feel like I’m being pulled—to fully embrace my journey, to claim my power, and to share my voice.”
Ellen is available for mentoring and coaching opportunities, working with adults and with parents of dyslexic children. As an advocate for people with dyslexia (which is a super-ability, not a disability!), Ellen strives to empower others to live their lives to the fullest. Ellen is also an advocate for women who have been abused.
Ellen is also available for public speaking opportunities and for workshops. With her unique perspective and personal experience, Ellen incorporates themes of inclusion, self-development, advocacy, empathy, creative thinking, and outdoor education into her agenda. Whether speaking to educators, thought-leaders, human resource professionals, women’s advocacy and empowerment groups, abuse prevention groups, or to audiences at corporate conferences and events, Ellen’s story will motivate and inspire.
As a natural speaker and teacher, Ellen has a background in leadership, creative thinking and problem solving, process redesign, program management, healthcare, clinical and corporate training, and conflict resolution. Matching her analytical and technical skills, Ellen is innately empathetic, approachable, encouraging, and truly a people person.
Contact Ellen for interviews, or for coaching, speaking, or workshop opportunities.
“When we learn to heal, to explore our individual journeys, to discover our unique purposes, and to live with love and in alignment with the universe—that’s when we can begin to co-create our lives with that universe.”

New England Donor Services
"To save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation."
Neds.org
On December 6, 2013 My mother Ellen E. Busch was in a tragic accident and a few days later was declared brain dead. She was able to be an organ donor and saved the life of a stranger and two people got their vision back. This gave meaning to what otherwise would have been a meaningless tragic death.
New England Donor Services coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and the eastern counties of Vermont and Bermuda. Through its federally designated organ procurement organization, New England Organ Bank (NEOB), and its centralized tissue donation services operation, NEDS serves thousands of donor families each year who have generously made the decision to donate and honors the wishes of those who registered as donors and gave the gift of life.
Responsible for one of the 57 OPOs that make up the nation’s donation system, NEDS works with nearly 200 hospitals and serves 14 million people in our region, screening nearly 50,000 potential donor referrals annually. Working sensitively with the donor families, NEDS staff leads donation authorization discussions, maintains medical support of potential donors, coordinates recovery surgeries, allocates organs according to the national transplant waiting list and directs transport of organs to transplant centers and tissues to processors.
Through these gifts of life, New England Donor Services saves and heals the lives of organ and tissue transplant recipients in our region and across the country.
National Domestic Violence Hotline
Abuse defined:
Domestic violence (also referred to as intimate partner violence (IPV), dating abuse, or relationship abuse) is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.
Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate. People of any race, age, gender, sexuality, religion, education level, or economic status can be a victim — or perpetrator — of domestic violence. That includes behaviors that physically harm, intimidate, manipulate or control a partner, or otherwise force them to behave in ways they don’t want to, including through physical violence, threats, emotional abuse, or financial control.
International Dyslexia Association
In public school settings where many teachers are not knowledgeable about this condition, students with dyslexia may be considered stupid or lazy. Parents who have children diagnosed with dyslexia should seek out reading instruction that is based upon a systematic and explicit understanding of language structure, including phonics. This reading instruction goes by many names, Structured Literacy, Orton- Gillingham, Simultaneous Multisensory, Explicit Phonics, and others (See IDA’s fact sheet Effective Reading Instruction). If you think you or your child may be dyslexic, you can take IDA’s test which will evaluate the chance that you have this condition.
